Weekly Photo Challenge: Place in the World

There are places in the world that captivates us even without visiting the actual place.

Greece is one of my dream destinations in the world but the possibility of getting there for a girl like me who lives halfway across the earth is very slim.

However, who would have thought that you can somehow experience Greece and all its glory in the Philippines – without a need for a ticket and of course, a visa?

These photos are all taken last February 2017 in an abandoned luxury resort in Nasugbu, Batangas, Philippines. The owner wanted to bring Greece in this tropical country; however, mother nature can sometimes spoil our dreams. When typhoon Haiyan, one of the strongest and most destructive storms in the world, hits the Philippines last 2013, this resort was destroyed and was abandoned by the owners. What was left are these columns and some broken statues.
